Barton Gold (ASX:BGD) reported progress across its South Australian assets during the June quarter, backed by $5.7 million in exploration expenditure.
Drilling at the Challenger project identified mineralisation grading up to 170 grammes per tonne of gold, while work advanced on a definitive feasibility study due in the first quarter of 2027.
The company expanded its reverse circulation drilling campaign at the Tunkillia Project to 40,000 metres following initial high-grade assay results.
Barton held $4.5 million in interest-bearing security deposits at the end of June.
Following the announcement the Barton Gold share price was up at $0.75.
The business continues to focus on resource upgrade drilling and feasibility programmes across its central Gawler Craton tenements.
Prior activities included metallurgical trials at the Tolmer silver discovery and securing diesel reserves to support field operations through the 2027 financial year.
