
Briscoe Group records NZ$193.4M quarterly sales

Retailer Briscoe Group (ASX:BGP) generated NZ$193.4 million in second-quarter sales, delivering a third consecutive quarter of growth.
The result represents a 0.25% lift from NZ$192.9 million recorded in the same period last year.
"We're pleased to report a third consecutive quarter of positive sales growth despite economic conditions remaining challenging,” said Briscoe Group Managing Director Rod Duke.
Sporting goods sales grew 4.84% in the quarter, offsetting a 2.17% decline in homewares revenue.
Following the announcement, the Briscoe Group share price was unchanged $3.80.
The company expects the reported net profit after tax for the first half of the year to reach at least NZ$27 million.
First-half online sales increased by 2.07%, contributing 19.60% to total group revenue.
The business also launched a new digital rewards system for its Rebel Sport Club to drive customer engagement.
