· Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) said its MARSS unit was selected as command‑and‑control provider for BAE Systems’ anti‑drone system.
· The agreement covers MARSS NiDAR software licensing and support for BAE’s global counter‑drone demonstrations and deployments.
· Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) stated the partnership may later lead to customer contracts for both BAE Systems and MARSS.
Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) said its MARSS command‑and‑control business has been selected as C2 provider for BAE Systems’ Anti Threat System, a next‑generation counter‑drone capability.
The company said MARSS’ NiDAR platform will act as the “nerve centre” for BAE’s system by integrating sensors and effectors across global BATS counter‑UAS deployments.
“This capability positions MARSS as an ideal partner to support BAE Systems as it delivers market‑leading CUAS solutions,” said Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Dr Andreas Schwer.
EOS stated that the collaboration was formalised at the Eurosatory defence exhibition in Paris and that MARSS will supply software licences and technical support for BAE Systems’ demonstrations and operational roll‑outs.
The company added that, over time, this collaboration may lead to downstream customer contracts for both BAE Systems and MARSS as demand for counter‑drone solutions increases among NATO and other international clients.
Following the announcement the Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) share price was unchanged at the time of release.
Electro Optic Systems said its Defence Systems division focuses on remote weapon stations, turrets, directed‑energy weapons and integrated counter‑UAS and C2 platforms, while its Space Systems division applies optical sensors and effectors to detect, track and characterise objects in space.
