Equinix appoints Jarrod Nink as Australian managing director

·       Equinix appointed former Vocus executive Jarrod Nink as its new managing director for Australia.

·       Following the executive announcement, Equinix shares traded higher at US$1,084.24.

·       The leadership change aims to capture growing regional demand for AI and digital infrastructure.

Data centre operator Equinix (NASDAQ:EQIX) has appointed Jarrod Nink as managing director for Australia to lead its regional expansion.

Nink fills the position left vacant by Guy Danskine, who moved to lead the company's West Americas division.

“Jarrod is an exceptional leader with a deep understanding of digital infrastructure,” said Equinix President Asia-Pacific Cyrus Adaggra.

Nink previously served as interim chief executive at Vocus and held senior roles at TPG Telecom (ASX:TPG) and Vodafone Australia.

Following the announcement, the Equinix share price was up at US$1,084.24.

Equinix stated that Australian organisations continue to increase investments in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and interconnected networks.

The global firm operates more than 260 data centres across 33 countries to support digital infrastructure demand.
