  • Mayfield Childcare has withdrawn its previously issued financial guidance for the 2026 financial year.
  • The company's stock remained steady following the market update as operational reassessments continue.
  • Unanticipated regulatory changes and rising sector workforce costs drove the board's decision to cancel its forecasts.

Childcare operator Mayfield Childcare (ASX:MFD) has completely withdrawn its financial guidance for the 2026 financial year.

The decision reverses the full-year earnings forecasts released to the market on March 2.

The company blamed the withdrawal on escalating regulatory compliance obligations, rising labour costs, and volatile occupancy rates.

Separately, the group announced that its allied health support programme has progressed to initial revenue generation.

Following the announcement, the Mayfield Childcare share price was unchanged at $0.20.

The board stated that it intends to update the market on earnings guidance during September.

Management noted that it continues to monitor emerging government-funded early intervention initiatives to support children with developmental delays.
