Prescient Therapeutics (ASX:PTX), a clinical-stage oncology company, announced the appointment of Dr Rosalind Wilson as its new Chief Medical Officer, effective July 13.

Wilson succeeds Dr Marissa Lim, who is stepping down from full-time employment into semi-retirement following significant contributions to the company’s clinical programmes.

An accomplished biotechnology executive with over 30 years of global oncology drug development experience, Wilson brings a wealth of expertise spanning clinical trials, regulatory strategy, and commercial launches.

Her previous leadership roles include serving as Global Head of Drug Development at Telix Pharmaceuticals (ASX:TLX) and CEO of ASX-listed Factor Therapeutics.

Earlier in her career at Roche, she spearheaded the global development and launch strategy for the landmark breast cancer treatment pertuzumab (Perjeta), which significantly accelerated approval timelines.

In her new capacity at Prescient, Wilson will lead the company’s clinical development strategy and execution.

This includes overseeing the advancement of PTX-100 in its ongoing Phase 2 cutaneous T-cell lymphoma study and driving the progression of the broader pipeline.

Prescient CEO James McDonnell expressed strong enthusiasm for the appointment, highlighting that Wilson’s track record in steering therapies from Phase 1 through to commercialisation will be instrumental during this key growth stage.
