Tivan secures NT government grant for Molyhil Project

Share

Tivan (ASX:TVN) has secured an exploration grant from the Northern Territory Government for its Molyhil Tungsten Project, located 220km north-east of Alice Springs.

Awarded under Round 19 of the Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations programme, the $141,237 grant (inclusive of GST) will co-fund three diamond drill holes totalling approximately 600m.

The competitive funding follows Tivan’s previous grants for the Sandover Fluorite and Sandover AI projects under Rounds 18 and 17, respectively.

The upcoming diamond drilling programme is designed to test Molyhil-style tungsten-molybdenum magnetite skarn mineralisation.

Targeting a series of coincident gravity and magnetic anomalies identified through 3D modelling, the exploration aims to assess the scale of these anomalies and evaluate their potential to host additional mineralisation outside the current deposit.

Tivan is progressing a pre-feasibility study for the project, focusing on mining and processing operations to produce tungsten scheelite and molybdenite concentrates for export.

Tivan has completed Stage 1 drilling and geophysical surveys across the Molyhil and Sandover projects, with assay results expected shortly.

The company is now advancing planning and approvals for a larger "Stage 2" diamond drilling programme, which includes applying for an environmental (mining) licence with the Department of Lands, Planning and Environment.
