Syrah Resources notes the US International Trade Commission reached a final negative determination regarding antidumping and countervailing duty investigations into Chinese active anode material.
The ruling means aggregate duty rates of between 160% and 170% determined by the US Department of Commerce will not be imposed on imports from China.
“Whilst we are disappointed in the final negative determination from the ITC, Syrah remains committed to the ramp up of its Vidalia AAM facility which is the only domestic producer of AAM in the United States,” said Syrah Managing Director Shaun Verner.
The International Trade Commission's decision reverses a preliminary affirmative determination from January 2025 that suggested Chinese imports were retarding the establishment of a domestic industry.
