  • Japanese company Eole has purchased HYPE tokens for its corporate treasury.
  • The company said it aims to build a treasury holding worth about US$611,000.
  • The move reflects growing interest in digital assets beyond Bitcoin among listed companies.

Eole Co., Ltd. has become the first listed Japanese company to add Hyperliquid (CRYPTO:HYPE) to its corporate treasury after making an initial purchase of the token.

The company said it plans to increase its HYPE holdings to 100 million yen, or about US$611,000, as part of its treasury strategy.

Eole said it chose HYPE because of its role in the Hyperliquid ecosystem and its potential as a long-term treasury asset.

The company said the purchase forms part of its broader digital asset strategy and that it will continue monitoring market conditions before making additional acquisitions.

More listed companies have added digital assets to their balance sheets in recent years, although most have focused on Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) rather than alternative cryptocurrencies.

Eole's purchase marks an early example of a Japanese listed company adopting Hyperliquid (CRYPTO:HYPE) as a treasury asset, reflecting broader interest in expanding corporate digital asset holdings beyond Bitcoin.

At the time of reporting, Hyperliquid price was $55.47.
