Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) and Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) recorded the highest crypto hack losses during the first half of 2026, according to blockchain security firm Blockaid.

The report said attackers continued to target wallets, smart contracts and cross-chain bridges across the two blockchain networks.

Blockaid said the number of attacks remained high, but improved security measures helped prevent larger losses in many cases.

The report said wallet compromises caused some of the biggest losses, while smart contract exploits remained the most common attack method.

Blockaid said developers should strengthen wallet security, improve code reviews and monitor blockchain activity to reduce future attacks.

Blockchain security companies have increased the use of real-time monitoring tools to detect suspicious transactions before attackers can move stolen funds.

The report said security remains one of the biggest challenges for the crypto industry as adoption continues to grow.

At the time of reporting, Ethereum price was $1,907.75.
