Galaxy and Duel Casino dispute 230 ETH transfer

Galaxy Digital and Duel Casino are disputing 230 Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) allegedly linked to the Coldcard hardware wallet exploit.

Duel Casino said the 230 ETH, worth about US$850,000 when transferred, originated from funds stolen through the vulnerability.

Galaxy said it received the ETH through normal business activity and disputed claims that it knowingly handled stolen cryptocurrency.

Duel Casino is seeking the return of the funds, while the dispute remains unresolved between the two companies.

The case follows reports that vulnerable Coldcard wallets exposed some Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) users to theft because of faulty random number generation.

Coldcard manufacturer Coinkite has since released fixes and advised affected users to update their devices and secure vulnerable funds.

At the time of reporting, Ethereum price was $1,840.51.
