TOKEN2049 Dubai, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency conferences, has been postponed from its scheduled dates of April 29–30, 2026 to April 21–22, 2027.
The organisers announced the decision on Friday, citing ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East that have created uncertainty around safety, travel, and event logistics.
The event is widely recognised as a major gathering for the global cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, regularly attracting investors, developers, and technology leaders from around the world.
Preparations for the original 2026 conference were already well advanced, with registration data indicating that the event was on track to sell out.
Organisers expected as many as 15,000 participants to attend the Dubai conference before the decision to postpone the gathering was made.
Event organisers explained that the change in schedule was intended to ensure that the conference can deliver the same large-scale experience and international participation for which TOKEN2049 has become known.
"In collaboration with our partners and stakeholders, and in light of the ongoing uncertainty in the region and its impact on safety, international travel and logistics, TOKEN2049 Dubai will be postponed to 21–22 April 2027,"
