Battery Age Minerals (ASX:BM8) has appointed Sebastian Kneer as CEO, effective Feb. 2.
Kneer is an experienced geology and exploration executive with 19 years in the resources sector, spanning lithium, uranium, gold, graphite, and nickel.
He joins Battery Age from Leo Lithium, where, as General Manager – Geology & Exploration, he oversaw the growth of the Goulamina Lithium Project's mineral resource from 108 Mt to 267 Mt at 1.38% Li₂O in under 18 months.
Kneer has also held senior roles at Galaxy Resources/Allkem (now Rio Tinto), contributing to the expansion and production of the Mt Cattlin lithium project, and spent nine years in the uranium sector with Toro Energy and U3O8.
Battery Age's board said Kneer's technical expertise and leadership experience position him to drive the company’s next phase of growth. He will work alongside outgoing CEO Nigel Broomham during a transition period.
Non-Executive Chairman Dr David Pevcic welcomed the appointment, highlighting Kneer’s track record in discovery, resource growth, and project development.
