
Carrier completes NORESCO sale to OPTERRA
- Carrier completed the sale of its NORESCO energy-efficiency business to OPTERRA Energy Services.
- Carrier shares were up 1.36% at $62.65 during Monday trading.
- Carrier said the divestiture supports its plan to simplify operations and focus on its core businesses.
Carrier Global (NYSE:CARR) completed the sale of NORESCO to OPTERRA Energy Services, transferring the business to an LS Power subsidiary.
Carrier signed the agreement on July 27, and the companies completed the transaction seven days later without disclosing financial terms.
Carrier said the divestiture supports portfolio simplification and allows greater focus on its core climate and energy businesses.
Jefferies served as Carrier’s financial adviser, while Akerman provided external legal counsel for the completed transaction.
Following the announcement, Carrier Global's share price was up 1.36% at $62.65.
NORESCO says it has delivered more than $5 billion in guaranteed savings across over 10,000 facilities.
Carrier’s recent moves include the $440 million Riello sale, 75F acquisition and investments in ZutaCore and Heat Geek.
