Clara Resources Australia (ASX:C7A) said exploration activity is set to intensify in Far North Queensland following the identification of new tenements locality within the resource-rich Hodgkinson Basin.
Situated west of Cairns, the newly demarcated area covers a rugged expanse of terrain between Mount Mulligan and the Hann Tableland National Park.
The region has long been noted for its diverse geological potential, historically yielding deposits of gold, tungsten, and antimony, and this latest move signals a renewed commercial interest in the basin’s untapped mineral wealth.
The strategic positioning of the tenements—roughly 60km west of the regional hub of Mareeba—allows for relatively straightforward logistical access via existing transport corridors.
Local townships such as Dimbulah, Mount Molloy, and Thornborough are expected to serve as vital service points for upcoming field operations.
At the time of reporting, Clara Resources Australia’s share price was $0.0030.
