
Clean TeQ Water (ASX:CNQ) has secured an $665,160 engineering contract with Sunrise Energy Metals (ASX:SRL) to update key design elements of the Syerston Scandium Project in New South Wales.
The work, focused on the continuous resin-in-pulp process underpinned by Moving Bed Ion Exchange technology and refinery circuits, will refine designs from the 2016 and 2025 feasibility studies and is expected to be delivered within 16 weeks by May.
The engineering update will support Sunrise’s final investment decision and broader investment readiness, following a recent significant increase in scandium inventory at Syerston.
Clean TeQ Water's appointment highlights the companies' long-standing collaboration and expertise in critical metals recovery, with potential for future engagement in engineering, procurement, and construction phases subject to Sunrise’s FID.
