Cognizant (NASDAQ:CTSH) announced on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, that it has agreed to acquire Astreya, a leading provider of platform-led, AI-first managed services, for approximately $600 million.

The strategic move is designed to enhance Cognizant's ability to help enterprise clients architect, deploy, and operationalize AI systems at a global scale.

Astreya brings a 25-year track record of managing complex IT environments for some of the world’s largest technology companies, including six of the "Magnificent Seven" hyperscalers.

The acquisition centers on Astreya's proprietary AI OpsHub, an AI-native operational cockpit that integrates fragmented tickets, alerts, and metadata from platforms like ServiceNow, Google Cloud, and Splunk into a unified, intelligent system.

The deal follows a series of recent acquisitions by Cognizant aimed at strengthening its AI and cloud capabilities, including the purchase of 3Cloud and Belcan.

Astreya's deep partnerships with Google Cloud and ServiceNow, combined with its expertise in data center infrastructure and AI lab environments, will allow Cognizant to offer more comprehensive, end-to-end digital transformation services.

Headquartered in San Jose, Astreya has recently expanded its own capabilities, including the acquisition of Reliant Information Services in February 2026 to bolster its presence in regulated industries such as aviation.

Its suite of AI-powered tools—including Lynx for analytics and Pictor for process intelligence—will now be integrated into Cognizant’s broader service offerings.

The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
