Elanco receives USDA approval for TruCan Ultra Lyme-L4

Elanco Animal Health Incorporated (NYSE:ELAN) announced on June 15, 2026, that it has received U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) approval for its new canine combination vaccine, TruCan Ultra Lyme-L4.
This vaccine is the first to offer protection against both Lyme disease and leptospirosis in a low-volume 1/2 mL injection, designed to reduce the need for multiple "pokes" during veterinary wellness visits.
The vaccine utilizes Elanco’s proprietary PureFil™ Technology, which the company states is engineered to reduce vaccination reactions associated with unwanted proteins.
This approval expands the company's TruCan Ultra portfolio, which already features other combination vaccines aimed at providing veterinarians with tools to address critical protection gaps in canine health.
Following the announcement, the Elanco share price was up at $24.61.
The company continues to innovate within its companion animal segment, recently launching other products such as Befrena™ and securing various authorizations for its Credelio™ portfolio to address emerging threats like the New World screwworm.
