Guzman y Gomez (ASX:GYG) has announced a multi-year exclusive delivery partnership with Uber Technologies and Portier Pacific, aiming to enhance convenience and accelerate growth in its Australian delivery sales.
Under the agreement, Uber Eats will become GYG's sole delivery partner in Australia starting Feb. 22.
Customers will be able to order from their local GYG via the Uber Eats platform, alongside GYG’s own white-label delivery service powered by Uber.
The partnership includes increased joint investment to provide customers with more choice, value, and convenience while strengthening the economics of GYG’s delivery channel.
The move is expected to benefit franchisees nationwide, with initiatives in place to ensure the transition to exclusivity does not negatively impact restaurant sales.
Delivery already accounts for approximately 27% of GYG's total sales in Australia in the first half of FY26, highlighting its central role in the company’s growth strategy.
GYG co-CEO Steven Marks said the partnership "will make it even easier for guests to enjoy GYG’s hot, fresh and delicious food wherever they are," emphasising that it is not only about delivery but also enhancing the overall customer experience.
CFO Erik du Plessis added that the agreement "provides exceptional convenience while accelerating the growth of our restaurants" and will further improve the economics of the delivery channel.
