Major League Soccer and its commercial arm Soccer United Marketing announced a multi-year partnership with Polymarket to integrate prediction markets into fan-facing digital and live match experiences across the United States.
The agreement names Polymarket as the official and exclusive prediction market partner of MLS, the MLS All-Star Game, MLS Cup presented by Audi, and the Leagues Cup.
Soccer United Marketing confirmed the deal was announced on 26 January 2026 as part of a broader strategy to expand interactive fan engagement ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The partnership will allow prediction market data to appear across MLS digital platforms, including websites, mobile apps, and selected broadcast-adjacent second-screen products.
MLS said the integration is designed to reflect real-time fan sentiment during matches without influencing on-field outcomes or officiating decisions.
Polymarket’s tools will be embedded as optional engagement features, giving fans the ability to track crowd expectations around match events, player performances, and tournament outcomes.
Independent monitoring systems will oversee trading activity to ensure match integrity and prevent manipulation or misuse of market data.
MLS stressed that all prediction markets will operate under strict jurisdictional and regulatory compliance standards within the United States.
League executives said the partnership positions MLS among the first major global football leagues to formally incorporate prediction market insights into fan experiences.
The collaboration includes joint product development initiatives focused on improving second-screen engagement during live matches and major tournament events.
Content integrations will roll out gradually across MLS and Leagues Cup platforms during the 2026 season following internal testing and compliance reviews.
Soccer United Marketing noted that the deal does not alter existing betting partnerships and is limited to prediction market-style engagement products.
MLS officials said the agreement reflects growing interest among fans in interactive data-driven formats that enhance match viewing without replacing traditional broadcasts.
Polymarket said the partnership will focus on transparency, education, and responsible use of market-based sentiment tools for sports audiences.
Through our partnership with MLS and Leagues Cup, we can surface real-time collective sentiment around key moments.
Shayne Coplan said.
These markets are designed with safeguards and compliance measures to ensure they enhance the fan experience while protecting the integrity of the game.
Coplan added.
The announcement comes as MLS continues to expand its digital footprint and global visibility in the lead-up to hosting matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
League representatives said further details on feature availability and platform rollout will be shared closer to the start of the upcoming MLS season.
