Radware (NASDAQ:RDWR) announced Monday it has completed the acquisition of Pynt, an Israeli-based startup specializing in automated API security testing.
The deal, valued by market sources at tens of millions of dollars, represents a strategic push by Radware to secure the entire lifecycle of application programming interfaces (APIs), which have become a primary target for hackers in the age of AI.
The acquisition allows Radware to integrate Pynt’s "pre-production" testing capabilities—often referred to as "shifting left"—into its existing suite of runtime protections.
By doing so, Radware aims to help developers identify and remediate security vulnerabilities during the design and testing phases, long before an API goes live.
"API security cannot stop at the code or start only in production," said Haim Zelikovsky, Vice President of Cloud Security at Radware.
"With Pynt, we close the gap between development and runtime strategies, helping customers focus on real risks while reducing the noise of false alerts."
The acquisition comes just six days after Radware launched its broader API Security Service, which utilizes real-time traffic analysis to protect against OWASP Top 10 risks and sophisticated DDoS attacks.
Pynt’s technology will remain available as a standalone tool while also being woven into Radware’s unified cloud security portal.
Pynt was founded in 2022 and had previously raised approximately $6 million from investors including Joule Ventures and Dallas VC.
As part of the transaction, Pynt’s 15-person team, including co-founders Tzvika Shneider, Ori Goldberg, Golan Yosef, and Ofer Hakimi, will join Radware’s research and development divisions.
Radware, which currently holds a market capitalization of approximately $1.1 billion, stated that the transaction is not expected to have a material impact on its 2026 financial results.
The company is scheduled to report its full-year 2025 earnings on February 11.
