  • SpaceX shares fell to a new low of $109.53 despite a successful thirteenth Starship test flight.
  • The stock traded about 18% below its $135 June IPO price and roughly 51% below its June peak of $225.64.
  • Investor focus remains on Starship’s reliability as SpaceX shifts more resources toward the next-generation rocket programme.

SpaceX (NASDAQ:SPCX) shares fell to a new all-time low of $109.53 on Monday despite the company completing a successful Starship test flight days earlier.

The decline came after Starship’s thirteenth test flight launched from Starbase, Texas, and followed the company’s June 2026 initial public offering, with shares trading about 18% below the $135 IPO price.

“I’m a little over the moon right now,” said SpaceX spokesperson Dan Huot during the company’s livestream following the Starship launch.

The flight successfully deployed 20 next-generation Starlink V3 satellites, restarted an engine in space and completed what SpaceX described as its softest ocean splashdown, although the Super Heavy booster failed to ignite all 13 engines during its landing burn.

SpaceX shares closed at $115.07 on Friday before the launch, down 2.7% on the day and 7.2% for the week, and later declined to around $110 following the flight as investors continued to assess the company’s Starship strategy.

SpaceX develops launch vehicles, satellite systems and space technologies, including its Falcon rocket family and Starlink satellite internet network.

The company is increasing its focus on Starship, which it expects to support future missions and larger-scale operations, while investors continue to monitor whether the rocket can achieve the reliability needed for broader commercial use.
